My Secret Place
There is a secret place,
Deep inside of me,
Where no one else may enter,
And no one else can see.
It is a place of comfort,
It feels to me like home,
A place of peace and silence,
When I need to be alone.
This place has tears upon the ground,
Echoes of laughter too,
It holds secrets that only I can know,
And cannot share with you.
I'm sure you have a place like this,
Somehow we've all been blessed,
Within our mind and spirit,
To find a place of rest.
Be quiet for a moment,
And gently as a prayer,
Close your eyes and you will see,
Your secret place is there.
