Como em achar que é sábio o menestrel
Como tomar por vítima o indisfarçado réu

Como crer que a todo início cabe somente flor
Ou que no fim de tudo existe somente dor
Como seguir misturando desejo e amor
Como pensar em drama onde existe humor

Como manter-se zen em meio à modernidade
Ou como respirar ar puro numa grande cidade
Como permanecer o mesmo com a idade
Como acreditar em eterno e fidelidade
Mas ainda que não encontremos a justa medida
Ainda que não possamos ver a paz garantida
Ainda que não recuperemos a inocência perdida
Procuramos fazer valer cada emoção vivida.

But yet we can't find the fair measurement
Yet we can't see the peace guaranteed
Yet we can't recover our lost innocence
We try to make worth every emotion we live
